Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data MonteVellum (Real Application d.o.o.) collects through montevellum.me, why, how long we keep it, and who else sees it. It applies regardless of where you are contacting us from.

1. Who Controls Your Data

The data controller is Real Application d.o.o., trading as MonteVellum, registered in Montenegro under registration number (PIB/matični broj) 03641163, registered office at Gavrila Principa ulica 200, Bar, Montenegro, 85000. For any privacy question, contact info@montevellum.me or +382 69 429 219.

2. What We Collect, and Why

Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the audience category you select, and the message you write. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if you engage us, to carry out that engagement.

Site assistant (AI chat): the questions you type, the assistant's answers, an anonymous session identifier generated for your visit (not linked to your name or contact details), your selected language, and which page you were on. We use this to answer your question in the moment, and — in aggregate, without identifying you — to see what visitors are actually asking, so we can expand what the assistant knows. If the assistant can't answer and you choose to click "send this to us," your question is emailed to us along with any contact details you choose to provide at that point — this only happens when you actively click that button, never automatically.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process contact form data on the basis of your consent in submitting it, and, where an engagement follows, on the basis of that contractual relationship. We process site assistant data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the assistant, and your consent in choosing to interact with it. You can withdraw consent at any time by simply not using the form or assistant, or by asking us to delete data already submitted.

4. How Long We Keep It

Contact form submissions are deleted once your enquiry is resolved or declined — we do not keep a standing database of past enquiries. Site assistant question-and-answer logs are automatically deleted after 30 days; there is no long-term storage or tracking tied to a visitor's identity beyond that window. If your enquiry becomes a client engagement, records related to that engagement are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver the service and meet any applicable legal or accounting obligations, after which they are deleted.

5. Who Else Sees Your Data

Outbound email (contact form submissions and, where you request it, assistant question forwarding) is sent through our own self-hosted mail server — we do not route this through a third-party email marketing platform. The site assistant is powered by Google's Gemini API: when you send a message to the assistant, that message and relevant conversation context are sent to Google for processing in order to generate a response. Google acts as a data processor for this purpose. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes — ever.

6. International Data Transfers

Because the site assistant uses Google's Gemini API, messages you send to the assistant may be processed on servers outside Montenegro, including in the United States. Google maintains its own data protection safeguards for this processing. If you'd rather not have a message processed this way, use the contact form or email us directly instead — those go straight to our own mail server.

7. Cookies

We use a single cookie, mv_lang, to remember your preferred language across visits. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking or advertising. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, request its deletion, object to or restrict our processing of it, or request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact info@montevellum.me. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge a fee for a straightforward request.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we hold, including restricting access to the systems that store it. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to us over the internet.

10. Children

This site and our services are directed at adults seeking property, corporate, or residency advisory services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we handle data or in applicable law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
